About the role
The Department of Psychology at Texas State University is seeking a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology. While expertise in aging is preferred, candidates with any clinical‑psychology specialization will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an active research program that incorporates both undergraduate and graduate students.
- Teach undergraduate‑ and graduate‑level courses relevant to clinical psychology.
- Supervise graduate theses and dissertations.
- Actively seek and maintain external funding for research.
- Obtain and maintain licensure to practice clinical psychology in the state of Texas.
- Participate in service as a good departmental citizen.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (or closely related field).
- Demonstrated potential to develop a robust, externally funded research agenda.
- Experience or willingness to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Ability to supervise graduate research projects (theses/dissertations).
- Current or ability to obtain Texas clinical‑psychology licensure and maintain it.
- Commitment to departmental service and collegial collaboration.
- Preference for expertise in aging, though all clinical‑psychology specializations are welcome.
