Assistant Professor - Headache Medicine

About the role

The Department of Neurology at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking outstanding candidates for faculty positions in Neurology. This evergreen posting is intended to build a pool of qualified applicants for current and future Assistant Professor opportunities across the department.

Responsibilities

• Develop a dedicated outpatient Headache Medicine practice and provide comprehensive clinical care, including the administration of onabotulinumtoxinA injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks.
• Provide comprehensive clinical care, including the administration of onabotulinumtoxinA injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple specialties, including Emory's nationally recognized programs in neuro-ophthalmology, sleep medicine, cognitive neurology, neurosurgery, psychology, and psychiatry.
• Teach residents and medical students, participate in clinical and translational research, and contribute to the continued growth of inpatient and outpatient headache medicine across the Emory Healthcare system.

Requirements

• Fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible physician.
• Enthusiasm, a collaborative spirit, and a creative mindset.
• Experience in headache care, research, and education.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Neurology.
• Completion of a fellowship in Headache Medicine.
