Assistant Professor – Finance & Financial Services
About the role
This position involves teaching specific courses across various programs, guiding and mentoring students, preparing students for interviews with external organizations, planning and delivering learning and development initiatives for students, and counselling students. The role also includes instrumental research, writing, and publishing research papers and cases in the domain. Additionally, the individual supports admissions and placements activities and manages academic administration tasks such as exam management and class scheduling. They are also responsible for communicating with past, present, and future students of Woxsen and other relevant stakeholders. They may be required to undertake other relevant duties and responsibilities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Teaching specific courses across programs
- Guiding and mentoring students
- Preparing students for interviews with external organizations
- Planning and delivering learning and development initiatives for students
- Counselling students
- Supporting admissions and placements activities
- Managing academic administration tasks (exam management, scheduling classes)
- Communicating with past, present, and future students of Woxsen and other relevant stakeholders
- Undertaking other relevant duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements
- A Ph.D. from a reputed institute
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively
- Communication skills (both written and spoken English)
- Adequate research background
- Willingness to stay on campus (off 90 Kms from Hyderabad)
Qualifications
- An earned doctoral degree in Finance
- A record as a publishing scholar commensurate with rank
- Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Financial Services
- Demonstrated experience using the Bloomberg Finance Lab software
Experience
- 7-10 years for Associate Professor
- 2-3 years for Assistant Professor
