About the role
The Department of Management in the College of Business at James Madison University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management position with a focus in entrepreneurship and/or strategy to begin in Fall 2027. Advanced assistant professors are also encouraged to apply.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Primary teaching responsibilities will be teaching undergraduate courses in Entrepreneurship and/or Strategic Management.
- Conduct high-quality research, as well as engage in academic and community service for the department, college, university, and the profession.
- Foster a collegial and collaborative team environment that supports student success and faculty development.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Business Administration or a closely related field is required (a doctorate degree from a business program must be from an AACSB-accredited business school).
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a PhD with a primary emphasis in entrepreneurship or strategy and a secondary area of expertise in the other discipline.
