Lynn University’s College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Dialogues of Scientific Literacy. The Dialogues is an internationally recognized, interdisciplinary core curriculum that integrates collaborative in-class discussions and activities with real-world experience. Faculty teach on campus in Boca Raton, Florida; most undergraduate classes meet Monday–Thursday in 2.5-hour sessions over four-week terms.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in accordance with college guidelines
- Participate in the college’s assessment program of student performance
- Respond promptly to student questions and concerns
- Submit required university reports—attendance, grades, and student progress—on time
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in a natural-science discipline such as biology or chemistry from a regionally accredited institution
- Proficiency with instructional technology (e.g., Canvas, PowerPoint)
- Appreciation of diverse learning styles and ability to adapt instructional delivery accordingly
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Preference given to applicants who can teach non-calculus physics or organic chemistry
- Preference given to applicants with previous post-secondary teaching experience
