Position Summary

The Department of Communication at Austin Peay State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for the Academic year 2024-2025. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Communication or a related field. Applicants with ABD status may be considered, but must have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment. The position begins August 2024. The position is in the Professional Communication major. It requires experience in Public Relations and/or Corporate Communication. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in a 4/4 annual teaching load, develop and maintain an active scholarly agenda, conduct academic advising, and participate in service to the department, university, and community. In addition, membership and participation in state, regional, national, or international communication organizations is required.

About the Role
