About the role
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
Responsibilities
- Expertise in the specific area of pediatric leukemia and lymphoma.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology.
- Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and clinical instruction of medical students, residents, post-doctoral fellows, instructors, and/or clinical research assistants.
- Active involvement in fellowship training and mentoring.
- Interests in early phase clinical trials of precision medicine therapeutics for children with relapsed/refractory or high-risk leukemias.
- At least two years of experience as an attending physician after completion of fellowship training.
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include expanding translational and clinical research efforts in pediatric hematologic malignancies.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- Experience as an attending physician after completion of fellowship training.
- Established record of peer-reviewed scholarship and extramural grant funding.
- Expected to have at least 50% independent research effort funding within three years of appointment.
