Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical to provide clinical services at University Health Services and The Christ Hospital/University of Cincinnati Family Medicine Residency program. Responsibilities include providing primary and urgent care, teaching osteopathic manipulative medicine, supervising and teaching osteopathic and allopathic residents, and establishing an OMT referral clinic.
Essential Functions
Provide primary and urgent care along with women’s health care at University Health Services.
Participate in on-call prorated based on FTE.
Provide direct patient care with a focus on OMT in a family medicine outpatient setting at FMC.
Attend weekly practice meetings for the DFMC.
Contribute to a positive learning environment for learners.
Provide education and serve as a resource for all healthcare workers in area of clinical expertise.
Mentor osteopathic and allopathic residents in the principles and techniques of osteopathic medicine.
Contribute to the development and improvement of the residency’s OMT curriculum.
Teach hands-on OMT instruction in both didactic and clinical settings.
Work one-on-one with medical students and/or family medicine residents to teach and model ambulatory primary care.
Minimum Requirements
A Medical Degree (MD or DO) in related field.
Unrestricted Ohio Medical license and DEA license prior to the start date.
Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine Residency Program.
