About the role

The Department of Personalized Health and Well-Being, College of Health Professions, is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for a full-time, 12-month faculty position to teach in the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program (MSCN).

This position may be hybrid, combining remote and in-person responsibilities at the UNT Health Fort Worth campus. The position is expected to start in March 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Teach graduate-level courses in the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition program, including didactic and experiential learning.
  • Develop and update course content to align with program goals, accreditation standards, and current evidence-based nutrition practice.
  • Mentor and advise students in research projects, supervised practice, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with faculty and community partners on research projects.
  • Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committee and initiatives.
  • Contribute to program assessment, continuous quality improvement, and ACEND accreditation activities.
  • Represent the program through involvement in professional organizations and outreach efforts.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nutrition or a closely related field.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
  • Experience teaching nutrition and dietetic courses or precepting dietetic interns.
  • Commitment to the core Values and Behaviors of the UNT System.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in nutrition or closely related field.
  • Experience in clinical nutrition or functional nutrition.
  • Online teaching experience.
  • Teaching experience in an ACEND accredited dietetic program.
  • Experience in ACEND competency assessment.
  • Experience with ACEND accreditation processes.

Skills

  • Knowledge of medical nutrition therapies, evidence-based dietetics practice, and current trends and practices in clinical nutrition.
  • Experience developing and delivering engaging online and in-person course content.
  • Experience mentoring and advising students on career development, research, and professional growth.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems for course delivery and student engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with faculty, students, and community partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
