Assistant Professor (Clinical)/ Associate Professor (Clinical)- PM&R Consult/Generalist Physician
About the role
The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position for an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, track and rank dependent on qualifications.
This position will integrate with our inpatient PM&R physicians, consult team and also work closely with rehab hospital access staff. This position will develop strong relationships with acute care service lines including, neurosurgery, neurology, trauma, and orthopaedics. Additional inpatient, outpatient, and leadership opportunities are available.
Responsibilities
- Integrate with inpatient PM&R physicians, consult team and rehab hospital access staff
- Develop strong relationships with acute care service lines including, neurosurgery, neurology, trauma, and orthopaedics
- Work towards advancing research, clinical and/or teaching
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers
- Contribute to the expansion of the University's rehabilitation programs
Requirements
- Board certification is required
- Specialty training is preferred
- Strong academic interests in research, clinical and/or teaching
- Strong interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or related field
- Experience in academic medicine
- Ability to teach and mentor students
Skills
