This track has two career paths: Clinician-Educator concentrating on teaching and Clinician-Investigator for concentrating on research/scholarship. Significant contributions in professional and academic service are required for both paths.
About the Role
This position involves caring for patients in the inpatient and ambulatory setting who have had a cancer diagnosis and treatment with cardio-toxic chemotherapy drugs. It also involves caring for general cardiology patients or heart failure in the inpatient and ambulatory settings. Additionally, the position supports call in a similar fashion as other cardiologists.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients in the inpatient and ambulatory setting who have had a cancer diagnosis and treatment with cardio-toxic chemotherapy drugs.
- Care for general cardiology patients or heart failure in the inpatient and ambulatory settings.
- Support call in a similar fashion as other cardiologists.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent.
- ABIM Board Certified or Eligible for Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Completion of fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardio-oncology.
- Hold or be eligible for a license to practice medicine in the State of Kansas.
