Assistant Professor – Biological Chemistry

About the Role

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a full-time, academic year, tenure-track faculty member to develop or continue a vigorous research program in Experimental Biological Chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Develop or continue a vigorous research program in Experimental Biological Chemistry
• Join a vibrant, collaborative and interdisciplinary biological chemistry and structural biology community at UMass Amherst
• May choose to join the Molecular and Cell Biology Interdisciplinary Graduate Training Program, the Institute for Applied Life Sciences, the Biotechnology Training Program, or the Chemistry Biology Interface Training Program

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field
• Relevant post-doctoral experience
• Qualified for Assistant Professor position; under exceptional circumstances, highly qualified candidates at other ranks will receive consideration

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. Anticipated start date of September 01, 2027.

Pay

The University expects to pay within an approximate range between $79,350 and $126,956 for this position.
