About the role
The Prentiss Lee Faulconer Jr. Department of Accountancy & Legal Environment at Marshall University seeks an assistant professor for a nine-month tenure track appointment beginning Fall 2027 semester, with preference given to candidates who can begin Spring 2027 semester. The position includes teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and graduate levels, with a willingness to work with DBA students. The primary need is in financial accounting, but applicants from all areas of accounting are welcome to apply. Candidates must possess the interest and/or demonstrated ability to teach using face-to-face, online, and hybrid delivery methods.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in financial accounting and other areas of accounting.
- Work with DBA students.
- Contribute to department, college, and university service.
- Engage in professional activities and maintain a current curriculum in accountancy and legal environment.
Requirements
- Earned Doctorate in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting concentration (Ph.D or DBA) from an AACSB-accredited institution.
- ABD candidates will be considered.
