About the role
The Department of Molecular Pharmaceutics at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy seeks excellent applicants for a Tenure Track assistant professor faculty position. Potential areas of research interests include, but are not limited to, gene and drug delivery, microbiome engineering, tumor-based infection, immunotherapy, neurotherapeutics, cell therapy, theranostics, and interfaces of modern pharmaceutics, biomedical research and data science.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain an independent, extramurally funded research program
- Teach in the professional PharmD program of the College of Pharmacy and the PhD graduate program of Molecular Pharmaceutics
- Promote basic and translational research in areas such as therapeutics design and engineering and investigations on the mechanistic understanding of biological barriers for successful therapies
Requirements
- A doctoral degree in a relevant discipline with postdoctoral experience
- A strong record of publications
- Innovative research programs promoting basic and translational research
Qualifications
- Ability to develop and sustain an independent, extramurally funded research program
- Extramural funding including K99/R00 or competitive funding scores from funding institutions
