Assistant Professor
About the role
Serve as faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics in Amarillo, Texas; Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the areas of Pediatrics and Hematology/Oncology, as part of the Pediatrics Department in Amarillo, TX; Provide inpatient and clinical care, and maintain clinical records; Engage in clinical research and writing; and provide community and university service.
Major/Essential Functions
Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, patient care, research and service. Teaching residents and medical students. Giving lectures and teaching sessions to residents and medical students. Medical practice in area of Pediatrics. Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Occasional Duties Maintain or develop an academic research program in the fields of Pediatrics and Hematology/Oncology. May conduct inpatient teaching rounds.
Required Qualifications
- M.D., D.O., or Foreign medical degree equivalent.
- Completion of pediatrics residency.
- Board certified in Pediatrics.
- Eligible to obtain a Texas State Medical License.
