About the role

The School of Applied and Engineering Physics (AEP) at Cornell University seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We especially encourage applications from members of groups historically underrepresented in AEP and STEM.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a highly successful and internationally recognized independent research program
  • Participate effectively in the teaching of our core physics curriculum at the advanced undergraduate level

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Physics or related field
  • Postdoctoral experience is considered essential for Assistant Professor applicants
  • Exceptional candidates nearing the completion of their PhD can apply for a bridging fellowship for postdoctoral training before the start of the faculty position
