About the Role
The Assistant Professor is a faculty member credentialed and privileged as an MD, with completion of an Ob/Gyn residency. The role involves providing inpatient and outpatient clinical services in support of OHSU’s missions of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, OHSU policies, and professional standards is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services at OHSU and Hillsboro Medical Center, an affiliated facility 30 minutes west of OHSU, ensuring a balanced patient mix.
- Share obstetrics and gynecology call duties, some requiring on-site presence.
- Engage in scholarly activity, including research, grant-supported work, academic presentations, and publications.
- Provide clinical education to residents, medical students, nurse trainees, and APP trainees during Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations.
- Offer formal and informal feedback and evaluation to learners in a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic environment.
- Participate in division and department faculty meetings and serve on OHSU committees as required.
- Contribute to activities supporting the goals and objectives of the division, department, or OHSU as requested.
Requirements
- MD Degree
- Oregon Licensure
- Completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency
- Board certified or Board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Potential for academic accomplishment
