About the role
The position is part of a cluster of five new tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor, focusing on “Diverse Voices Creating Just Futures.”
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Library and Information Science, Information Experience Design, Data Analytics and Visualization, and/or Museums and Digital Culture.
- Pursue research and creative practice that advances Pratt Institute's commitment to an education centered on justice.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary cohort with shared interests.
- Educate artists and creative professionals to make a transformative impact on the world.
Requirements
- A earned doctorate in Library and Information Science, Information Experience Design, Data Analytics and Visualization, or Museums and Digital Culture is required.
- Critical approaches and engagement with areas including, but not limited to, critical information studies, critical design, data justice and tech ethics, activism, and communities facing barriers (e.g., people who are incarcerated).

- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Ability to contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and equitable academic community.
