Assistant Professor

Essential Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute translational research in accordance with the specific laboratory’s focus and in alignment with the laboratory PI’s interests and the institute's agenda.
• Write and submit funding proposals to federal and non-federal sources including industry sponsors whose research interests fit with the PI’s research program and institute research agenda.
• Contribute to authoring publishable scientific research papers, presentations, and research proposals and present institute's research findings at levels ranging from internal meetings to national scientific meetings.
• Support the research education of residents, fellows, junior laboratory personnel, and interns in the institute as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum PhD or MD (or MD/PhD) in a related scientific field.
• 4 years’ experience with scientific research.
