Assistant Professor - Academic Movement Disorders Physician - AC Track

About the role

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Parkinson’s disease, related disorders and other movement disorders.

Responsibilities

• Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as formal lecture opportunities within the department
• Out-patient consultations and ongoing care of patients with Movement Disorders
• Supervision of residents clinic
• Minor component of inpatient care of general neurology patients (approximately 1–2 weeks per year)
• Participation as a site investigator in clinical trials
• Collaboration on research publications

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree
• Board certified or eligible in Neurology
• Expertise in Parkinson’s disease, related disorders and other movement disorders
• Completion of fellowship in Movement Disorders preferred

Skills

• Expertise with botulinum toxin injection
• Management of neurostimulators

Schedule

Clinical care will be primarily at Pennsylvania Hospital, with some coverage of satellite clinics in suburban locations.
