About the Role
The Produce Department Assistant Manager assists the Produce Department Manager with ensuring the successful operation of the produce department.
Responsibilities
- Accurate recordkeeping
- Customer service
- Employee relations
- Expense control
- Inventory management
- Shrink control
- Public relations
- Stocking and controlling freshness by rotating and removing out-of-date merchandise
- Directing staff when in charge of the department, including directing workload, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision
