About the role
The successful applicant will have a deep commitment to providing quality Catholic education, participate in the life of the parish, and have appropriate teaching experience, academic qualifications and leadership qualities. The APRE plays a vital role in supporting the Principal in enhancing the Catholic identity of the school.
Responsibilities
- Foster the religious life of the school through Christian witness, active participation in a parish, promotion of Gospel values and the provision of quality religious education.
- Develop and implement high quality learning and teaching programs.
- Support others and build capacity with a focus on continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Align strategic goals and initiatives with the vision and mission of the school and School Review and Improvement Processes.
- Foster and develop appropriate relationships with school staff, students, parents, clergy, parishioners and the wider community.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
- Australian work rights.

- Sound understanding of, and commitment to Catholic education.
- Culture of inspirational teaching and learning.
- Lead the development and implementation of school improvement initiatives.
- Interpersonal skills to build partnerships within the school, with the parish and with the local community.
- Willingness to provide leadership in areas delegated by the Principal in the APRE duty statement.
- Consistent with the message of Jesus and the Gospels Catholic church teachings, principles and values.
- Diocesan policies and directives.
