ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - HIGH SCHOOL
The Beecher Community School District seeks a Secondary School Administrator. Applicants must have a Master's degree in secondary school administration from an accredited institution and at least two years of successful experience as a secondary classroom instructor. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, along with the ability to interact positively with a diverse group of individuals.
Responsibilities
- Understands and implements Master contracts and Board of Education policies.
- Assists in preparing teacher and student handbooks.
- Assists in evaluating staff personnel.
- Attends school-sponsored activities.
- Serves as a substitute principal during absences.
- Supervises fire and tornado drills.
- Formulates and implements crisis management plans.
- Coordinates the development of a student conduct code.
- Keeps records of disciplinary actions.
- Manages high school athletic events.
- Attends professional meetings and conferences.
- Collaborates with community and school personnel.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Secondary School Administration from an accredited institution.
- Valid state certificate as a secondary school administrator.
- At least two (2) years of successful experience as a secondary classroom instructor.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact positively with a broad spectrum of individuals and organizations.
Benefits
Exceptional administrative fringe benefits are available. The salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
