Assistant Preschool Teacher

Hampstead Preschool of the Arts is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers for preschool-age groups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Previous childcare experience or CDA (or higher) is a plus
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements as necessary
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Pay

$15 - $17/hour, based on education and experience
