Assistant Preschool Teacher

About the role

The successful candidate will join Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers in Rochester as an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool classroom. They will be responsible for engaging children through fun, hands-on activities that promote both cognitive and social-emotional growth, collaborating with the Lead Teacher to implement the High Scope curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Care, supervision, and management of a classroom
• Implementing the High Scope curriculum
• Engaging children in educational activities
• Collaborating with the Lead Teacher

Requirements

• Full-time availability and reliable transportation
• At least 18 years of age
• CPR Certification (can be completed within 30 days of hire)
• Prior experience in early childhood education (preferred)
• Child Development Associate credential (CDA) or working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
• Pass a Background Check (fingerprinting)

Pay

Pay range: $14.50-$20.50/hour (rate based on years of experience in early childhood education plus licensing credential, CDA or degree in the field)

Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
