We are partnered with a Minnesota-based design-build contractor that focuses on delivering fully integrated construction solutions, handling both the design and construction phases under one roof. They typically partner with clients across commercial and light industrial projects, emphasizing collaboration, efficiency, and streamlined project delivery. Known for being a relationship-driven builder with a hands-on approach, they work closely with clients from early concept through completion to manage cost, schedule, and overall project execution.
Responsibilities
- Support the preconstruction team in budgeting, estimating, and proposal development across multiple projects
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid packages
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather pricing and project information
- Help analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify scope gaps or risks
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive and accurate pricing
- Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing, and project benchmarks
- Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize cost, schedule, and constructability
- Assist in preparing client presentations, proposals, and conceptual budgets
- Support project handoff to operations by ensuring all preconstruction documentation is complete and accurate
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
- Experience in preconstruction, estimating, project engineering, project management, or design-build project delivery
- Understanding of commercial construction means, methods, materials, and project delivery processes
- Experience developing conceptual budgets and detailed estimates
- Ability to review drawings, specifications, subcontractor proposals, and project schedules
- Strong communication, facilitation, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction estimating software
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Pay
Competitive base salary ranging between $80,000–$100,000
