Assistant Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Responsibilities

• Aid the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure safety and cleanliness
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children
• Communicate with parents about their child’s progress and activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines
• Contribute to promoting a nurturing learning environment through routine child care tasks

Requirements

• Must be available Monday-Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm
• At least 1 year of experience in this particular age group
• Able to start by July 6th, but willing to start earlier
• Starting rate of pay is $17 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• An associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting required
• Show empathy and compassion for young children
• Work productively without supervision
• Basic understanding of child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children

• Knowledge of child development stages
