Assistant Powderpuff Coaches

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance in planning and executing team activities, practices, player placements, and game plans.
• Trains student-athletes in safe and fundamental football techniques throughout the season.
• Maintains regular communication with athletes, parents, assistant coaches, moderators, and Regina Administration.
• Collaborates with moderators in recommending the purchase of equipment and supplies.
• Transmits Powderpuff rules, particularly those concerning player safety, to student-athletes, parents, and moderators.
• Oversees or assists in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of equipment, supplies, and the practice facility.
• Promotes individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship throughout the program.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Coaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must possess an understanding of the technical aspects of football.
• Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must complete the Protecting God’s Children through the Archdiocese of Detroit training, if not already completed.
• Applicants must submit to a new background check.
• A valid CPR certificate is required or must be obtained.
