Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in planning and executing team activities, practices, player placements, and game plans.
- Trains student-athletes in safe and fundamental football techniques throughout the season.
- Maintains regular communication with athletes, parents, assistant coaches, moderators, and Regina Administration.
- Collaborates with moderators in recommending the purchase of equipment and supplies.
- Transmits Powderpuff rules, particularly those concerning player safety, to student-athletes, parents, and moderators.
- Oversees or assists in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of equipment, supplies, and the practice facility.
- Promotes individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship throughout the program.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Coaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must possess an understanding of the technical aspects of football.
- Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must complete the Protecting God’s Children through the Archdiocese of Detroit training, if not already completed.
- Applicants must submit to a new background check.
- A valid CPR certificate is required or must be obtained.
