General Summary

Assists in all aspects of plant operations to ensure the safety and efficiency of the cryogenic plant. This will require the effective management and coordination of various operators and contractors to achieve the required run-time and efficiencies in a safe manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Optimize operations of natural gas processing plant(s).
  • Identify and propose operational expense reduction opportunities.
  • Creating or updating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
  • Develop, implement and maintain operator training program including testing or qualifications.
  • Implement and maintain operator on-boarding program.
  • Assist in the close-out of MOCs, JSA and plant audits, PSSR walk downs.
  • Develop operations staff schedules.
  • Backup for operations staff (outside, board, shift lead).
  • Track work order requests and closure.
  • Manage critical spare and consumables inventory, coordination with Maintenance department.
  • Ensures housekeeping policies are maintained.
  • Communicate and coordinate with various counterparties, including vendors, contractors, customers, investors, and executive management.

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in operations of cryogenic processing plants.
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Leverage experience and judgment to identify, propose, and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Ability to delegate tasks as required to operators and contractors.
  • Possess a willingness to train and mentor operators in job related functions.
  • Ability to interface with personal computers and control systems to monitor and operate plant equipment, prepare reports, send and receive emails, and perform equipment calibrations.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse conditions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required.
  • Technical certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • More than five years of experience in cryogenic plant operations is preferred.
  • More than 2 years of leadership experience preferred.

Work Context

  • Normal schedule will be 5 days a week with weekends off (9-80 Schedule).
  • On call (as needed).
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
