Assistant Plant Sales Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Own order fulfillment and line efficiency for a poultry production plant
• Create production schedule for poultry production plant twice daily ensuring customer needs are met, relative to operational capabilities
• Conduct daily meetings with sales and operations to review the schedule and inventory
• Update sales forecast with accurate estimations for bird weight and head kill
• Work closely with operations during the day to ensure schedule adherence and order fulfillment
• Reconcile inventory on a daily basis to ensure no waste or spoilage
• Advise the sales team on available to sell volumes
• Prioritize key and strategic customers
• Work with 6 partner plants to aid in order fulfillment
• Spend time on the operational floor and understand the process flow of the plant

What You’ll Need

• Education: Bachelor Degree or similar field preferred
• Experience: 2-5 years of directly related experience preferred
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task; thorough understanding of poultry industry and bird cutouts; Intermediate skills required for Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; problem solve/root cause analysis; knowledge of SAP a plus; strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal; quick learner of Company protocols/programs and adaptable to change; solid math and analytical abilities for problem-solving and decision-making; reliable and ethical, with a strong work ethic and punctuality; team-oriented and self-motivated, able to thrive in fast-paced environments

About Pilgrim’s

• Schedule: Monday – Friday with occasional weekends
• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment; Paid Time Off: Sick leave, vacation, company observed holidays or, any other statutorily required paid leave; 401(k): Company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; Base salary range of $65,000.00+
• Discretionary Bonus: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s yearly bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
