Assistant Plant Controller
About the role
The Assistant Plant Controller will serve as a key financial partner to plant and operational leadership, overseeing financial reporting, cost accounting, planning, controls, and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L reporting and consolidations
- Manage and maintain the integrity of the plant's standard cost system
- Oversee and analyze inventory, manufacturing costs, margins, and operational performance
- Partner with plant leadership on financial planning and business decisions
- Develop forecasts and operating plans covering sales, profitability, CapEx, cash flow, and balance sheet activity
- Analyze significant transactions and capital expenditure proposals
- Identify opportunities to improve EBIT and operating working capital
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and support SOX 404 compliance
- Avoidance of coordination with internal and external auditors
- Provide clear financial analysis and recommendations to senior operational leadership
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, 5+ years of progressive accounting/financial management experience, Strong experience within a manufacturing environment, Hands-on cost accounting and inventory accounting experience, Strong knowledge of standard costing, Experience with budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and financial reporting, Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls, Experience working within a SOX-compliant environment, ERP experience within a complex manufacturing organization, Strong operational mindset with the ability to partner effectively with plant leadership, High-energy, hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate in a deadline-driven environment, CPA and/or MBA preferred, but not required

$130,000–$155,000 DOE + 10% Bonus
