About the Role
As an Assistant Planner, you manage current stock and predict future inventory needs. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and an organized work ethic, providing an opportunity to flourish and shine. As an integral part of the Merchant Team, you will support sell-through and conversion of inventory, ensuring the right product is in the best possible place to sell. This permanent role offers the chance to join Watchfinder on an evolving journey in a relatively new business function.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain required sell-through and stock velocity by ensuring inventory is optimally placed for conversion.
- Purchasing & Planning:
- Support the Purchasing Manager with product sourcing and placement strategy across Watchfinder, consignment, and marketplace channels, focusing on margin and stock management.
- Work with the HQ pricing team to drive conversion through operational review (OR) changes and re-quotes.
- Monitor the execution of the purchasing plan in real-time and liaise with US Purchasing Managers to ensure delivery aligns with intentions.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Finance to analyze stock holding and purchasing processes for regional model stocks.
- Support HQ in local "purchase to publish" lifecycle reporting, coordinating stakeholders to monitor progress vs. plan and identify bottlenecks.
- Merchandising & Pricing:
- Manage weekly retail store replenishment (minimum 75 units) and ad-hoc requests.
- Conduct weekly store visits (1 per week) for visual merchandising and marketing displays tailored to customer profiles.
- Analyze walk-ins and appointments, balancing new and existing customers.
- Perform online and store performance analysis.
- Execute US-specific campaigns, identify stock opportunities, and propose creative solutions.
- Use data to optimize sales volume and profitability across all product areas.
- Analyze stock performance by category, price, and country, and work with Pricing to adjust velocity.
- Report on trends and product performance weekly, optimizing commercial activities with input from Country Managers.
Requirements
- A track record of creating positive business impact through merchandising, ideally in a multi-brand retailer.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and understand the significance of actions.
- Self-motivated with a positive "can-do" attitude (essential).
- Numerate with advanced Excel skills ("ninja level").
- Ability to present information and ideas clearly to teams and commercial leaders.
- Experience working in a team environment and cross-functionally (essential).
- Confidence to engage and present to colleagues at all levels of the business.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills, including suggesting calculated risks.
- Multi-region/market exposure and experience.
- Understanding of KPIs in an online retail organization.
- Experience interpreting reports and data.

Pay
Expected salary range: $80,000–$85,000. Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.
