About the role

The Assistant Pharmacy Manager at Publix Pharmacy is dedicated to the overall success of the pharmacy department. They are responsible for executing strategy, motivating and inspiring staff, setting priorities, seeking feedback, and developing opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class pharmacy service to patients, empowering staff to build personalized relationships and offer pharmacist-led clinical services.
• Mentor, train, and develop a high-functioning pharmacy team, providing developmental opportunities and challenging assignments.
• Inspire the team to do the right thing, gain buy-in, and empower them to be accountable for the goals of the pharmacy department.
• Manage department performance, ensuring complex operational activities are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure continuous improvement and maintain a competitive advantage by understanding metrics and implementing best practices.
• Manage medication on-hand inventory and be an expert in pharmacy inventory operations.
• Advance pharmacy clinical initiatives, including Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and immunizations.
• Participate in community events to meet the unique health and preventative care needs within the local area.
• Aid in all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Graduate of a school of pharmacy
• Unrestricted state pharmacist license
• No active suspensions, sanctions, or restrictions related to participation in a health insurance program
• No unacceptable results on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years

Preferred Qualifications

• Immunizing pharmacist meeting state requirements
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Numerical and financial aptitude
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control
