Assistant Pharmacy Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Pharmacy Manager at Publix, you'll play a key role in ensuring the pharmacy department runs smoothly. You'll be responsible for leading the pharmacy team, providing exceptional patient care, and driving the department's success.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategy and motivate staff as the pharmacist-on-duty
• Maintain best-in-class pharmacy service to patients
• Mentor and develop a high-functioning pharmacy team
• Manage department performance and ensure operational activities are met
• Ensure continuous improvement and maintain a competitive advantage
• Manage medication inventory and mentor others on best practices
• Advance pharmacy clinical initiatives like Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and immunizations
• Engage in community events to meet local health and preventative care needs
• Support the pharmacy team in all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• A graduate of a school of pharmacy
• An unrestricted state pharmacist license
• No active suspensions, sanctions, or restrictions related to health insurance programs
• No unacceptable results on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years

Preferred Qualifications

• Immunizing pharmacist meeting state requirements
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Numerical and financial aptitude
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control
