Assistant Pharmacy Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Pharmacy Manager at Publix, you'll play a key role in ensuring the pharmacy department runs smoothly. You'll be responsible for executing strategy, motivating staff, and providing best-in-class service to patients. You'll also mentor and develop a high-functioning team, manage department performance, and participate in local community events.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategy and motivate staff as the pharmacist-on-duty
• Maintain best-in-class pharmacy service to patients
• Mentor, train, and develop a high-functioning pharmacy team
• Manage department performance and ensure operational activities are met
• Manage medication inventory and ensure compliance with policies
• Advocate for pharmacy clinical initiatives like MTM and immunizations
• Engage in local community events to meet health and preventative care needs

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Graduate of a school of pharmacy
• Unrestricted state pharmacist license
• No active suspensions, sanctions, or restrictions related to health insurance programs
• No unacceptable results on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years

Preferred Qualifications

• Immunizing pharmacist
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Numerical and financial aptitude
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control
