Assistant Pharmacy Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Pharmacy Manager at Publix, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of pharmacy professionals to provide exceptional service to patients and contribute to the overall success of the pharmacy department.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategy, motivate and inspire staff, set priorities, seek feedback and developmental opportunities, and champion for innovation
• Mentor, train, and develop a high-functioning pharmacy team, providing developmental opportunities and challenging assignments
• Manage department performance, ensuring complex operational activities are met in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure continuous improvement and maintain a competitive advantage by understanding metrics and implementing best practices
• Proactively advance pharmacy clinical initiatives, including Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and immunizations
• Participate in community events to meet the unique health and preventative care needs within the local area
• Avoid missing shifts due to personal reasons and assist in other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Graduate of a school of pharmacy
• Unrestricted state pharmacist license
• No active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program
• No unacceptable results on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years

Qualifications

• Passionate about health and wellness

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Numerical and financial aptitude
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control

• Expertise in pharmacy technology systems
