Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor - Legal Writing
Notre Dame Law School seeks applicants to teach first-year Legal Writing I and II. The position will commence in Fall 2027. Initial appointments will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor.
About the role
Applicants will have the opportunity to develop and teach additional writing classes. The successful applicant must be committed to teaching foundational writing skills, working collaboratively with other members of the writing and research faculty, developing upper-level legal writing classes, and mentoring students.
Requirements
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to and good standing in a state bar
- Excellent academic records
- Outstanding writing skills
- At least three years of practice experience
Preference will be given to candidates with clerkships and candidates with experience teaching legal writing.
