Position Overview

The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle is seeking applications for one full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor WOT (without tenure by reason of funding), commensurate with experience, to join the growing Molecular Imaging and Therapy Nuclear Medicine service at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. This position has an anticipated start date of October 1, 2026.

Position Description
The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle is seeking applications for one full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor WOT (without tenure by reason of funding), commensurate with experience, to join the growing Molecular Imaging and Therapy Nuclear Medicine service at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. This position has an anticipated start date of October 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Instruction of medical students, diagnostic radiology residents, nuclear medicine residents, and molecular imaging/nuclear medicine fellows
• Administer radiopharmaceutical therapies
• Interpret oncologic PET/CT and general nuclear medicine imaging studies
• Engage with all team members across departments and patients to develop long-term collaborative relationships
• Provide outstanding image interpretation
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations
• Provide reliable provider consultations through tumor boards and ad hoc requests
• Engage and respond to necessary activities to support clinical collaborations around patient care
• Administer therapies safely and effectively
• Support all clinical trial activities
• Participate in call

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O., or foreign equivalent, and eligibility for medical licensure in Washington State
• Successful completion of one of the following: combined nuclear medicine/diagnostic radiology residency, diagnostic radiology with nuclear medicine fellowship, or nuclear medicine residency. If the candidate has only nuclear medicine training without diagnostic radiology board certification, the candidate will be required to complete ACR CT reader requirements within the first two years on faculty.
• American Board of Nuclear Medicine board certification or board eligibility OR Board of Nuclear Medicine certification and American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility.
• Excellence in academic achievement as demonstrated by a record of scientific or educational presentations and/or publications
• Expertise with regulatory and clinical trial requirements for evaluating novel radiopharmaceuticals
