About the role

The William Newman Department of Real Estate at Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY), invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position beginning in Fall 2027. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to scholarly research, excellence in teaching, and active engagement in a dynamic real estate program.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active research agenda leading to publications in leading academic journals
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in real estate and related areas across multiple instructional modalities (in-person, online, and hybrid)
  • Contribute to the Department’s academic and professional activities
  • Support the School’s growing portfolio of global and executive education programs

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline by the date of appointment
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality scholarly research and publication
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching
  • Willingness to contribute actively to the Department’s academic and professional initiatives

Qualifications

  • Applicants at the Associate Professor level should have an established record of scholarly achievement and demonstrated potential for leadership in research, teaching, and service

$220,000- $235,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience
