About the role

The Assistant or Associate Professor of Real Estate – Development and Finance Focus position begins on August 1, 2026, and is based at the University of Miami’s Coral Gables campus. The successful candidate will contribute to core and elective courses, advise students, engage industry partners, pursue research and publication, and support the continued growth and visibility of the Master of Real Estate Development + Urbanism (MRED+U) program.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or close to completion in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• Evidence of scholarship, professional accomplishment, or recognized expertise in real estate finance, real estate development, urban economics, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, preferably in a professional graduate program
• A defined or emerging research or applied-research agenda

The MRED+U program integrates real estate finance, real estate development, architecture, urban design, planning, construction, and public policy. It offers an immersive experience in one of the world's most dynamic metropolitan regions and real estate markets, providing exceptional exposure to industry leaders across all sectors.

About the School of Architecture (U-SoA)

The U-SoA focuses on city-making, urbanism, technological innovation, and environmental resilience, using the vibrant Miami metropolitan area as a "living laboratory." Students' educational experience is enhanced through hands-on learning at Design Build Studios, the Center for Urban and Community Design, and study-abroad programs in Rome and Tokyo.
