This open-rank, tenure-ineligible faculty position in the Division of General, Geriatric & Palliative Medicine joins a dynamic and growing academic practice at the University of Virginia.

About the role

The selected candidate will develop a clinical practice that includes caring for older adults in ambulatory primary care and consultative clinics. Inpatient responsibilities and other geriatric clinical duties may also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care for older adults in ambulatory primary care and consultative clinics
  • Participate in inpatient responsibilities and other geriatric clinical duties as needed
  • Teach fellows, residents, and medical students in didactic and clinical sessions

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Board eligibility or certification in Geriatrics (strongly preferred but not required)
  • Leadership, educational, and administrative experience (highly desired)
