Tulane University Law School invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in business and corporate law, commercial law, and torts. Successful candidates may also engage in interdisciplinary teaching, research, and collaboration through the Murphy Institute Center for Law and the Economy.

About the role

  • Teaching responsibilities will include courses in business and corporate law, commercial law, and torts.
  • Research opportunities may include interdisciplinary projects with the Murphy Institute Center for Law and the Economy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality research in business and corporate law, commercial law, and torts.
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in these areas.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary teaching, research, and collaboration through the Murphy Institute Center for Law and the Economy.

Requirements

  • AJOLP (American Journal of Legal Studies) or equivalent peer-reviewed journal publication record.
  • PhD in law or a related field by the start date.
  • Strong potential for external funding.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in law or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching business and corporate law, commercial law, and torts.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary research and collaboration.

Skills

  • Ability to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Strong research and publication record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
