Assistant or Associate Director of Campus Involvement

About the Role

This position supports the development, organization, management, and supervision of a comprehensive co-curricular student organization involvement program, meeting the needs of students from all backgrounds. The role may serve as live-on staff within Student Life, including participation in the professional on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Student Organization Leadership Development

• Support policy review and updates for student organizations, leaders, and advisors
• Support large-scale campus events including Welcome Week, Family Weekend, Homecoming, Late Night Breakfasts, and Doo Dah Day
• Manage student organization registration and maintain active records
• Manage agency accounts for all student clubs and organizations
• Oversee the bi-annual Campus Involvement Fair and annual Student Life Leadership Awards Ceremony
• Serve as primary administrator of the Engage (GivePulse) platform, providing training to staff, students, and advisors
• Support the Marietta College Student Organization Handbook and leadership development training programs
• Provide direct leadership and evaluation of student organizations with event management
• Collaborate with the Student Government Association on funding requests
• Develop commuter student programming and manage commuter spaces
• Support PioSOAR, Transfer Tuesdays, PioConnect, H.O.M.E., Matriculation, and other campus-wide events

Greek Life Leadership Development

• Advise the Interfraternity Council and College Panhellenic Council, working with national fraternities and sororities
• Serve as liaison to international/national offices, chapter advisors, alumni, and housing corporations
• Coordinate formal and informal Panhellenic and IFC recruitment
• Develop educational programming, including alcohol education, sexual misconduct prevention, hazing prevention, and an annual Greek Leadership Retreat
• Oversee Greek events including Greek Movers, Family Weekend Open Houses, Hazing Prevention Week, Greek Week, and New Member Convocations
• Maintain data on membership, retention, recruitment, and scholastic achievement

Branding and Promotion

• Partner with Brand Management on shared branding for student organizations
• Develop communication plans for campus traditions and events reaching students, alumni, and families
• Maintain the campus events calendar

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred (counseling, college student personnel, higher education administration, or related field)
• 4-6 years of higher education experience preferred, including at least 2 years in student activities and/or Greek Life, professionally or through student leadership
• Experience in Title IX investigation/administration, or willingness to be trained
• Valid US driver's license and insurability under Marietta College's liability coverage
