About the role
The Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans is recruiting a Transplant Pulmonologist to join the Tulane Lung Center and the Section of Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine. The position offers opportunities in Lung Failure, Lung Transplant, and Advanced Lung Diseases, with potential for involvement in ECMO, Pulmonary Hypertension, Interstitial Lung Disease, or Cardiothoracic ICU.
Responsibilities
- Join a multidisciplinary team focused on Lung Failure, Lung Transplant, and Advanced Lung Diseases
- Opportunity to lead the Medical Directorship, depending on interest, experience, and qualifications
- Participate in the Interventional Pulmonary program, which is at the forefront of delivering advanced pulmonary care
- Work within the context of Tulane's strong interstitial lung disease and cystic fibrosis programs
- Contribute to the Mechanical Circulatory Support and advanced heart failure programs, as well as all solid organ transplant programs
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
- Experience in Lung Transplantation and/or ECMO preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to contribute to and lead the development of a new program
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine
- Successful completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pulmonary Medicine
