About the role

We’re looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at Pitney Bowes in Grand Prairie, TX. This position is available on a 3rd shift basis, working Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production schedules and capacity to ensure daily/weekly requirements for equipment and personnel resources
• Adjust sort schemes to improve production efficiency or comply with USPS changes
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators and take corrective action as needed
• Ensure compliance with USPS regulations and internal reporting requirements
• Evaluate and communicate USPS regulatory changes or new technologies
• Analyze mail volumes and postage trends to optimize discounts and reduce costs
• Securely transport client mail and manage transportation activities
• Analyze transportation functions to enhance efficiency and service quality

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in a production environment, preferably in the mailing industry
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience in an operating center handling 5 million or more pieces per week with a 24-hour cycle
• Ability to analyze and interpret business periodicals and USPS regulations
• Proficiency in PC software, including spreadsheets and databases
• Understanding of workplace safety standards and OSHA regulations
• Strong leadership skills in areas such as interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, reward and discipline, and problem-solving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of USPS postal regulations and policies

Pay

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 annual salary plus a 10% field bonus. The exact amount may vary based on experience and performance.
