Hourly rate: $17.84. Full-time, Monday through Friday with overtime required when necessary, including some weekends. Growth potential available.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in operating production machinery at maximum capacity and speed.
  • Work to improve setup times and reduce downtime daily.
  • Identify and address mechanical concerns; report to supervisor.
  • Work at a fast pace to adhere to the production schedule.
  • Learn machine operation, including downtime, setup times, and product quality.
  • Assist with completing necessary reports accurately and timely.
  • Set up slotting, feed, and die cut sections on machines using proper techniques.
  • Monitor board quality for defects and make adjustments as needed.
  • Willingness to progress and cross-train on other machines.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment.
  • Six consecutive months of experience in a manufacturing operation (preferred).
  • Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
  • Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
  • Able to calculate figures such as percentages, measurements, volume, and rate.
  • Apply concepts of high school math.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or graphic form.
  • Ability to handle problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Working knowledge of equipment design, product layouts, production specifications, and quality specifications.
  • May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
