Hourly rate: $17.84. Full-time, Monday through Friday with overtime required when necessary, including some weekends. Growth potential available.
Responsibilities
- Assist in operating production machinery at maximum capacity and speed.
- Work to improve setup times and reduce downtime daily.
- Identify and address mechanical concerns; report to supervisor.
- Work at a fast pace to adhere to the production schedule.
- Learn machine operation, including downtime, setup times, and product quality.
- Assist with completing necessary reports accurately and timely.
- Set up slotting, feed, and die cut sections on machines using proper techniques.
- Monitor board quality for defects and make adjustments as needed.
- Willingness to progress and cross-train on other machines.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment.
- Six consecutive months of experience in a manufacturing operation (preferred).
- Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Able to calculate figures such as percentages, measurements, volume, and rate.
- Apply concepts of high school math.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or graphic form.
- Ability to handle problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Working knowledge of equipment design, product layouts, production specifications, and quality specifications.
- May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
