Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Scheduling and registration of patients
  • Collecting copayments, self pay and DME payments
  • Serves as the liaison between insurance companies, patients, clinical staff and billing
  • Maintains patient confidentiality with regard to medical records per company policies and procedures and assures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Communicates well in a professional setting
  • Supports the Office Coordinator in sharing daily function responsibilities, communicating any questions, changes or updates
  • Obtains pre-approval and schedules Function Capacity Evaluations and verifies insurance
  • Responds to patient inquiries and needs in a polite and timely manner
  • Effectively use and maintain office equipment
  • Performs administrative duties/special projects as assigned

Education And/or Experience

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong background in providing excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
  • Prior medical experience, preferably in Physical Therapy clinic.
  • Work well in a team atmosphere and have a strong sense of leadership skills.
  • Enjoy interacting with people.

Pay

Pay Range: $18 - 19.50 per hour.

Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package. Quaterly Bonus Opportunity.
