Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Scheduling and registration of patients
- Collections copayments, self-pay and DME payments
- Serves as the liaison between insurance companies, patients, clinical staff and billing
- Maintains patient confidentiality with regard to medical records per company policies and procedures and assures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicates well in a professional setting
- Supports the Office Coordinator in sharing daily function responsibilities, communicating any questions, changes or updates
- Obtains pre-approval and schedules Function Capacity Evaluations and verifies insurance
- Responds to patient inquiries and needs in a polite and timely manner
- Effectively use and maintain office equipment
- Performs administrative duties/special projects as assigned
Education And/or Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required
- Strong background in providing excellent customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred
- Prior medical experience, preferably in Physical Therapy clinic
- Work well in a team atmosphere and have a strong sense of leadership skills
- Enjoy interacting with people
Pay
Pay Range: $18 - $19 per hour.
Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
Eligible for Quarterly Bonus Opportunity.
