About the role
The Assistant Nursing Manager coordinates, plans, organizes, implements, and monitors nursing care of the adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient as applicable in accordance with departmental philosophy and objectives. Facilitates communication and continuity of care for patients, accepting accountability for daily operations of their respective units when on duty. When delivering patient care, provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process. Assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the needs of the patient and family members. Directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, and infection control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care provided. Utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards and adheres to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act. Reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum: Graduate of an RN program. Preferred: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
- Experience: Minimum: 2 years nursing experience in unit of expertise. Preferred: Management experience
- Certification/Licensure/Registration:
- Florida RN License
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring

Pay
Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.
