Assistant Nurse Manager WOW, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Weekends

Responsibilities

• Serve as a professional nurse leader with daily operational responsibility for a patient care area/department.
• Focus on safe, effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to maintain a financially stable unit and promote staff development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education, supported by a Practice Governance framework.
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed staff; when providing direct care, assess, develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
• Apply educational and professional experiences to deliver quality care and mentor/precept staff.
• Ensure the Swanson Theory of Caring and patient/family-centered care are foundational to nursing practice, involving staff in resource allocation, interdisciplinary activities, and collaboration.

This is a WOW (Work on Weekends) position. Schedules include every weekend (Nights: Friday & Saturday; Days: Saturday & Sunday). Employees earn premium pay in addition to competitive hourly rates and shift differential.

Qualifications

Required

• One year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse (KY) licensure.

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
• Master Degree in Nursing.
• Doctorate Degree in Nursing.
